The 'Heart as a Pump' Activity
Let's make a working model of a heart so we can show Mrs. Hartt how it works!
So far you have learned that your heart is a muscle, but did you know that your heart is also a pump. Like a pump, your heart has the capability to squeeze blood out of one chamber into the next. Your heart is so strong that it can squeeze enough blood out to go as far as your toes.
For this activity you will create a pump that simulates the heart. You may require an adult for some help.
